I had a chance to do a tasting at Atomic Coffee Roasters in Peabody, MA. I've seen Atomic coffee bags around my house and know of the Atomic Café in Beverly. I connected with Logan about doing a tour and tasting. They recently moved to a new facility and have added more machines to make the best coffee on the North Shore. I’m not a coffee coinsure by any means, I prefer coffee as more of a buzz than actually sipping it like wine. All of Atomic coffee is roasted to order, and packaged by hand. I could feel the positive energy brewing amongst the staff. My biggest takeaway was their coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s an elevated experience. I had a chance to sample the Cold Brew and the Nitro Cold Brew and no sugar or cream is needed. It has been helping me get through my long radio shifts.
Atomic was born in 1996 when two brothers, both professional cyclists at the time, set out to answer the question "how hard can it really be to run a cafe?". There are now two generations of brothers involved in the business. Atomic roast all coffee to order on their Diedrich IR-24. For over two decades, the family has used coffee as a catalyst for inspiring community, relationships, and adventures. They are dedicated to the quality of their work and elevating coffee experiences.
I loved the Atomic vibe. They are a locally owned family business that is thriving and has an excellent brand. I suggested a coffee rub as a meat tenderizer and salivating over what the crust would taste like. Check out the video below !
