It is HOT outside and football training camps have opened up. I will share an update on where you can listen to me this football season and an update on some new betting podcasts to check out. I don't want to bury the lead but the Best Flippin' Card show will be at Polar Park this Saturday July 26th. I have been preparing for this event and am excited to meet many of you. If you are interested in learning more about the hobby, it will be a great time to check out the venue and say hello.
I have been extremely busy this summer working every time slot at 985 The Sports Hub. I've hosted morning, mid-day, afternoon, nights & weekends. I've always had the ability to work with anyone and fill any role that is asked of me. It's been fun, challenging and I've come away with a new perspective of the business. That experience is invaluable and not many others have the opportunity to do so.
I'm excited for a new season of the NFL and will once again be covering the New England Patriots this season as a member of the post game show. This will be my 6th season with the Patriots radio network and looking forward to a meaningful season.
I mentioned in my previous post that I will not be hosting the "OverUnder "Podcast. There are also no plans of bringing back "The Weekly Spread" to NBC Sports Boston. The network went with "Benny vs the Penny" last year and no word on what type of betting content will be on television. Dan Lifshatz and I hosted the podcast for 8 years and were extremely proud of our work. You can hear Kendra Middleton every Saturday morning at 8AM on 985 The Sports Hub for all your betting content before the college football games on Saturday.
I had the "Boston Handicappers Network" In studio this week to discuss their new podcast and discuss some future bets. Lifshats has teamed up with Julian Edlow from the DK Network and with Chris Thurston from SportsGrid. Be sure to follow them on twitter/X and subscribe to their podcast. Another podcast I have enjoyed is "Bettor in Laws" hosted by Tucker Silva and Matt Prisco. Yes, they are brother in laws. They look at things through a causal and analytical view and a great combo with a great name and concept. Subscribe to Bettor In Laws.
I guess I am a free agent in the betting landscape. Does anyone need a betting analyst for the football season?
It was a tough week hearing the loss of Malcolm Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osborne and Hulk Hogan.Hogan had the biggest impact on my childhood. His contributions to the wrestling business are without question. Although I don't support his personal choices, he is simply the greatest wrestling figure of all time. Ozzy was metal. Not only is he the Prince of Darkness, he and his family essentially created reality television. MJW was Theo Huckstable on the Cosby show. Many times I thought about myself in Theo, with the lessons taught on the show. Chuck Mangione also passed away this week and a huge loss for the music world
Check out my interview with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed and the Boston Herald on the loss of Hulk Hogan. There are a few events Kowloon coming up in August. Should be a great time. Enjoy the rest of what is left of summer!
Good stuff Brotha. Long time fan of yours! Enjoying hearing you on different times and shows.
